
Abraham left Ireland on the ship Aurora and 5 weeks and 3days later arrived at Castle Garden, New York.
He lived in Providence, Rhode Island for 9 months, then became a farmer in Queen's County on Long Island.
Three years later moved to Illiopolis, Illinois and worked with a cousin on a farm.
After he married he moved to Champaign County where he bought 80 acres of land for $10.00 an acre.
The family planted over 107 apple trees.
Abraham and Ann are buried in Penfield Catholic Cemetery, Illinois.
